Some well known sailmakers will charge much more and boast about having higher quality. Because of our used sail department we often compare sails that are 10 to 20 years old. When inspecting used sails on the loft floor we have noticed our sails demonstrate equivalent longevity to these supposedly “elite” brand custom sails that often cost twice as much. We quite frankly don’t concede a difference other than price. Most reputable sail manufacturers these days build a good product. The truth is most custom sail makers incorporate measuring, delivery and installation service into their pricing. They charge more to cover fancy advertisements, large corporate overhead, and higher domestic labor rates, not because they have a better product. So, If you are willing to do your own service we can save you a lot of money. It’s that simple.

The Sail Warehouse proudly distributes our own PRO/FORM custom sail line using bulk manufacturing (from both domestic and offshore manufacturers) to keep the prices of new sails low without compromising quality. When you order your custom sail we build it at the same time we are producing a normal inventory production run, in effect “piggy-backing” onto our order. When many sails are produced at the same time the economy of scale keeps the cost down. Our production runs are scheduled every month and deliver on the 15th of the month for consistant, on time delivery. We know your sailing season is short so reliable delivery is important!

All sails are computer lofted and laser plotted and then hand finished by skilled workers for the best of both worlds. No sweatshop labor is used. Many of the assembly staff have fabrics degrees and ownership in the company. All materials are high grade U.S. or European from the top manufacturers like •Bainbridge •Challenge •Dimension Polyant and •Allied Signal. The construction details of each sail are specified according to strict requirements including; panel layout, UV stitching pattern, corner reinforcing, corner ring style, leech lines, hand work, leathering, etc. For construction details see: Product Tiers

Guarantee and Warranty
From the day your new sail arrives it is guaranteed for fit, quality and workmanship. Measuring is easy when you follow the directions in the measuring guide. However if any problem arise with the original fit we will work with you to determine whether the sail should be modified or replaced, etc. Parts and labor are covered for any necessary repairs due to failure or eminent failure under normal (non-extreme) use caused by faulty workmanship or components. Warranty service is done in-house at The Sail Warehouse or at a loft near you so if you ever need warranty work there is no complication about who will fix it.

Production Time
Production time for new custom sails is normally 3-5 weeks. Production runs arrive at our loft every month on the 15th.
